Brian Helander, RN, MHSA
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Helander, founder of ICS, was the visionary force behind the
the development of Boomerang™ Internet Staffer, and continues to
serve in a key product development role. Mr. Helander has held a variety
of leadership and staff positions at major health care facilities in the
Southwest, including Vanguard Corporation, Catholic Healthcare West, and
the Baptist Healthcare System. With over 20 years in nursing,
including emergency department, paramedic and clinical productivity
management, his knowledge and foresight of the challenges in nursing
management led to the development of Boomerang™ Internet Staffer. Mr.
Helander received his RN diploma from Winnipeg, Canada, in 1977. In
addition, Mr. Helander holds a BS degree in Health Arts from the
University of St. Francis, Joliet, Illinois, in 1989, and an MBA in
Health Services Administration from St. Francis in 2000. He is a Trauma
Nurse Specialist.
Robin A. Walker
Vice President, Software Development
Robin
Walker began working on eCommerce
systems as a college intern in the
summer of 1994 - the same summer that
the first web browser was released -
and has stayed with the technology
ever since. He has worked on several
high-profile web retail systems for
companies such as Spiegel, The Sharper
Image, SkyMall and AllegroMedical. For
private industry, Robin has developed
an enterprise railroad inventory
management system for transloaders and
an enterprise event
management/point-of-sale system for
swap meets. He has also co-founded an
effort to develop a retail desktop
application that introduces a
revolutionary approach to managing and
analyzing individual securities
investments. Robin received his B.S.
in Computer Information Systems from
Arizona State University in 1996.
Jorge C. G. Ramirez, Ph.D.
Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Jorge C. G. Ramirez has over 20 years of research, development
and leadership experience in software engineering, data mining and
intelligent systems. He has led domestic and international
development projects in academia and companies ranging from startups
to the Fortune 500. Most recently, Dr. Ramirez has combined his
technical skills with a sharp business acumen to create a
revolutionary proprietary process, IBuPrOFin™, that delivers
startling results to the bottom line even as the resulting product is
developed. Through IBuPrOFin™, Dr. Ramirez integrates business,
information technology and extra-ordinary analytics with his
leadership abilities to align business processes with business goals.
Charles William Miles, MD
Vice President, Research and Development
Dr. Miles joined Interactive Clinical Systems in 2001, and is responsible for the development of new and
innovative e-commerce products that will improve efficiencies and add
value to the healthcare business process.
Bill is a physician with emphasis in emergency room medicine, and has previously served in a
variety of hospitals in Canada and the Southwestern United States. He
has developed computerized emergency department billing software,
automated internet timecard and scheduling software, and has published
several articles on the topic of medical systems, applications and
automation. Dr. Miles holds a B.Sc in Cellular and Microbiology from the
University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, as well as an MD from University
of Alberta.
Kim Flanders, RN, MSL
Chief Operating Officer
Ms. Flanders joined Interactive Clinical Systems in 2005 and assisted with
the expansion of ICS Boomerang Internet Staffer to include the facility
scheduling module. Ms. Flanders insight into real time application has
enabled the momentum of ICS Boomerang Internet Staffer to ease the
challenges of leaders and staff in experiencing the outstanding benefits of
this innovative program firsthand. Ms. Flanders has held a variety of
positions within healthcare and consulting, working extensively in the area
of staffing and scheduling. Ms. Flanders holds a Bachelor of Science in
Nursing from St. Francis Medical Center College of Nursing in Peoria,
Illinois and a Master of Science in Leadership from Grand Canyon University
in Phoenix, Arizona.
